Stichting Present Amsterdam
Being part of the national Stichting Present Nederland movement, we organize group volunteering activities following the unique Present approach: we take a group’s different talents, wishes, and impact goals as a starting point to plan and design a volunteering activity that meets everyone’s interests. We then match the group’s volunteering offer with an Amsterdammer (family) in need to make sure the help offer ends up in the right place.
Respectively, we cooperate closely with a host of community organizations in all districts of the city, e.g. shelters, community centers, schools, and care homes. Hand in hand, we bring Amsterdam residents closer together, create unforgettable encounters, and make Amsterdam a little more beautiful every day.

At Stichting Present Amsterdam we believe in the power of people. Our mission is to bridge the gap between Amsterdam residents who have help to offer and Amsterdam residents who currently need a helping hand.

We organize unforgettable corporate volunteering activities and impact days for your team or company opening up unique opportunities to engage and connect with your local communities by lending them a helping hand.
Social volunteering
Surprise the elderly with a high tea and bingo afternoon, pamper Amsterdammers with special needs by organizing a beauty day or creativity workshop for them, or take a group of newcomers on a canal tour to discover the pittoresque city of Amsterdam together.
Practical volunteering
Swing the wooden spoon and cook dinner for and with vulnerable Amsterdammers, offer help with practical chores to make a petting farm or kids’ playground shine again, or add a splash of color to someone’s life by renovating their (new) home.
Social gardening
- Assist vulnerable Amsterdammers with taking care of their front- or backyard, who are not capable to do so themselves because of their age, health problems, few financial resources and/or a limited social network.
Skill-based volunteering
Provide a CV and LinkedIn training to support newcomers finding a job, offer a tablet and laptop workshop to the elderly so that they can stay in touch with their beloved ones, or teach young Amsterdammers how to get grip on their finances and live a dept-free future.
